July Theme Day : "No...signs"

There was an urban legend that a beggar got so rich from begging that he was chauffered around in a Mercedes Benz. Haha..no joke. :)
Beggars here belong to syndication. They are not the unfortunate people who go around asking for help and sympathy. It is sad to say that there is a large number of beggars who are controlled, begging becomes a job. Money garnered from others misfortune and sympathy is the filthiest of all. It's a tragedy. Period.

Poor beggars! Where are they supposed to go beg? :-)

We have the same signs in our subway train but the beggars and police pretty much ignore it because I see beggars on the train every day.

In Cincinnati panhandlers are supposed to get a license to beg. Otherwise, they get a ticket and a fine. I'm still trying to see how that law makes sense.

There is a man that lives here in DC that begs for money and he makes about 150 dollars per day just begging. Hmmm, are we in the wrong line of work?

They prefer customers than beggars in this place... A difficult problem...

Hi Murphay,

The bees are back in Brookville, Ohio. I hope for the rest of the year at least. I even got one on my Better Blog Writing post today. LOL

I see you found an adorable No sign. Don't see many here but then they are around mostly looking for drinks or drug handouts.

Isn't it almost funny to think of adult people scurrying around their communities taking pictures of signs. And if somebody had asked what that is all about and you said a sign with "no" on it, they might... well. It is kind of funny.

We see the same beggars everyday at the same places.

My photo is from inside a local restaurant. They have a lot of 50s & 60s photos and signs on the walls.

Excellent selection for this month's theme. What a sad situation. Those who really need help aren't getting it, while those who don't need it are exploiting others. That's a shame. Good job with this them!

Happy Theme Day!

Does this ban happen anywhere else?

Yes, it is a sad state to be in. Good choice for the Theme :)

Thanks all for dropping by!

Ming - the beggars have really a HUGE range of place to beg here. Sometimes they can just enter any restaurants or eating place and ask the customers for money.

Kin'shar - Yes, sometimes, when all you need to do is just put your hands out and money pours in.

Mo - So far this is the only place where I see such notice.

Wow, this sign really makes you think. Perhaps it's a difference in cultures - I'd not think begging is organised in France - thieving certainly is. I confess I still give money to a few particular street people - often thinking, there but for ....goes me. One never knows. Great post for today.
