Cupcakes 1

A trend started sometime last year where city ladies start to go ga-ga over cupcakes. Cupcakes entrepreneurs started to spring up one after another.
The varieties of cupcakes just keep increasing. Actually I don't think the trend will stop here since there is no limit to the person's imagination.
Aren't they lovely? Cupcakes are sold at fleamarkets and can be ordered for private functions. Some are even given out as wedding favours.
Will start to post a series of them, whenever I spot any new patterns :)

So, in the shops, you see these displayed next to traditional Asian sweets?

yummy! There are a couple monster baking stores in NY where you can delight in the idea of making such things. It looks like such fun.

Thanks all for dropping by :)

Fenix, sadly shops in Malaysia do not really sell traditional Malaysian sweets anymore. The closest will be what we call 'kuih' or traditional cakes.

This looks exactly like the cupcake bakeries in NYC. :-)

I love the glass dome stands. They reflect the light very nicely.

Beautiful photo.
