Dried Food

Taken from the my favourite market again. Those white stuff hanging are the vermiecelli, 'mee suah' - a kind of chinese noodles. Those yellow dried food are some kind of dried fish cake stuff we put in soups.
I think most will agree that Chinese food are one of the most diversified cuisines in this world. In Malaysia, Chinese has even more choices as cuisines are localised. On top of that we enjoy food from other ethnic groups as well. Indian, Malay, Italian, Japanese, you name it we have it here.

I've seen most of those items at the (huge) Chinese supermarket we have here. I love to shop there, there's so much to choose from, all kinds of products from Asia.

I've seen the dried fish cakes too, but never bought them because I wouldn't know how to use them, now at least I know you put them in soups. :)

(Unfortunately, most of the packaged foods that come from Asia do not have cooking instructions in English and the supermarket clerks/customers speak little English).

Hi Keropok Man, Fenix, thanks for the comments.

Ya, Keropok Man, you are right, they have the best mee suah in Sarawak. Somehow it tastes much better.

Fenix, which are the packaged Asian food that you are interested in? Maybe I can help find some recipes for you.

Oh, well, thanks a lot for asking! :)

I wouldn't know which ones now. I think I'll have to take a photo next time I visit the market and show it to you.

Have you been to my blog lately? Don't be shy and stop by to say hello sometime.

Have a wonderful rest of the week. :)
