Merry Merry Christmas

This is my favourite Christmas decor this year. The gigantic toy solder looks cute! The tiny soldiers below are mobile as well.
This will be my last post for the year. Going somewhere to brace the cold.. brrrrrrrrrr........
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! ;)

Where to now?

Another year ending. Are you standing at a crossroad or the beginning of new journey?
Being part of the DP community was certainly a new thing to me in 2007.
So where are you off to now, my friend?

Dwellers Among These

A night view of KL. I like the Twin Towers standing proudly in the middle.
Wonder if panaromic night view has some strange effects on you? It makes me feel little.. in a big city.
Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all Muslim friends.

Cranes in motion

Another condo, but this comes together with a hypermarket. These guys are working 24x7. I am constantly amazed by their progress. Wonder how big is the workforce behind this.
I like the cranes too. Reminds me of some Jackie Chan stunts.
When the cranes are lit up at night, they look very nice to me.
What's your favourite part of a construction?

Fairy Lights

The much awaited festival of the year!
Malls have put up elaborate decorations - hey..I seem to have written that couple of times before :P It's very common here.
This pictures show some fairy lights / lanterns that this mall decided to put up for their xmas theme this year. I was expecting a fairy to come out of each lantern.
Chinese New Year and Hari Raya are celebrated more than 1 day. We are used to having more than 1 day of celebration. Therefore although Christmas is just 1 day, we have began 'celebrating' - buying presents, having pre-xmas dinner-year end parties- it since the start of December. Many are already in holiday mood.
When do you start celebrating?

Chinese Sausage

Chinese sausage is quite common in night markets here. I think it's the Chinese version of hotdogs. Think it originated from Taiwan. The sausages are roasted and can be eaten with chili sauce. Or maybe they have some sweet sauce to go with it.
I have never tried it before, quite surprising for a greedy kid like me :P I always think it's too much meat on the small little stick.
Have a good weekend! Go try some new food :P

Sikit Sikit Jadi Bukit

It all started from the bottom
The title of this entry is a Malay saying. It means all big things are started small, you need to take those small steps before you achieve the big goal.
There was an exhibition by a biscuit brand not long ago at the mall. They used biscuits to build the 7 wonders of the world. Besides creativity, these guys must had lotsa patience as well.

Stay away, doc..

Oriental red rubies
Anyone ever told you that An Apple A Day Keeps the Doctor Away?
Apples were very much a part of my daily diet during childhood. They hold certain sentimental values to me besides the nutritional values. Still, going to the familiar family doc with flus, fevers were also part of my childhood as well :P So guess apples didn't help to keep the doc away.
These apples are imported from Japan. In the normal nightmarket, we can get 8-10 apples at the cost of RM 10. These apples cost RM 9 each.

Baby Champion

Come out, come out wherever you are..
Isn't he cute? :) Complete with his baby football jersey, football water bottle.
I love seeing babies wearing football jerseys.. simply adorable!!
No wonder everyone is saying to start kids young..I guess this one's going to be a famous footballer when he grows up.
It has been raining quite a bit these 2 days. Hope PJ won't get flooded.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Nostalgic Corner

The corner that time has forgotten.
This was taken at a shop in Malacca, Malaysia's historical state. Look at the wood carvings on the door and the seasoned wooden ceiling.
I have always wanted to know how people in the past lived. Fancy a trip on time machine, anyone?

Flashy Foot Wear

How many things would you wear on your feet?
I thought the wedges this young lady was quite interesting, coupled with the nail art and 2 anklets.. the whole ensemble seemed..a bit busy. Well.. I am no longer part of this generation to understand :)
What do you wear on your feet, minus the socks n shoes?

Lines

This pictures reminds me of my homework during artclass - Lines
The railway track beside Bangsar LRT station. There are some old low cost flats beside the tracks. These should be resided by foreign labourers.

One Day I'll Be On Top

I have always admired the determination shown by Nature. You cut down a branch, very soon a new leaf will spring up and before you know it, the tree is as good as new.
I am sure the leaves in the pic will reach the top of the fence very soon.
